God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Not only did Christ die for us, but His birth, life death and resurrection were effected for our benefit. It was necessary that He was born a lowly normal mortal birth, lived a lowly normal mortal life and died a lowly mortal death and that He rose from the dead. All are consistent with the birth, life and death of a Sinner resurrected to New Life. He had to be identified with the Sinners whom he would save. The result of all this is Salvation for you and me. It is for this very purpose that that the Gospel is to be propagated and promulgated to ensure that THE WHOLE WORLD hears the word of truth. There was never a command given to Moses and or the leaders of Israel to go and preach or teach the Laws and Commandments to the rest of the world, but these Commands were given to the Disciples of Jesus Christ and to us all, by Him before His departing: “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen (Matthew 28: 18-20 & Mark 16: 15).
As we celebrate, reflect, commemorate and honor the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior in this period of Free Salvation may we honor God with true worship. For the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seek such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24). We have seen a departure from the preaching of the Gospel to the use of the Scriptures to preach a life of material prosperity on earth where physical health and wealth supersedes the Spiritual well-being of the Christian Life. This is common among church Leaders, Teachers, Preachers, Evangelists, Tel-Evangelists and even Missionaries. People are been fooled by these flamboyant social and economic Power Brokers who masquerade as God’s Spiritual Leaders, that they are completely missing out on the SPIRIT FILLED LIFE, as they follow them in the pursuit of physical fitness, money and worldly pleasures; believing that this is God’s Will for them on this earth. Much time is been spent on teaching and preaching from the Old Testament Scriptures as this is the area where most of the ammunition for the Health and Wealth practical living concept is found. Everybody has a book that you must have because they guarantee that you will be blessed by it. God’s Word is not good enough. Neither is the teaching by the ANOINTING enough to get you where God wants you to be. It’s all about the money; but the last time I check the Gospel it said that Salvation is free. Less is heard of the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Gospel according to the Scriptures as given in the New Testament. If they faithfully preach the Gospel it would torpedo their livelihood. Then they would have to preach the following: “Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? for your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof”. Instead of moving forward by FAITH we are reaching back to possess the land in which we are merely strangers passing through. The Believer must live by FAITH. Christ warned about building up treasures on earth (Matthew 6: 19-20). He also laid out for us all, the whole nature of the Spiritual Relationship between the Believer and the Triune God and between the Believer and the world (John 14-17). “You are my friends if you do whatsoever I commanded you”: said the LORD (John 15:14). To confirm the truth of the Gospel of GRACE, God through the Apostles admonished us all not to return to Salvation by works of the law and circumcision of the flesh under the old Covenant from which we have been delivered but instead to “press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3: 14).
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him? We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren. Brethren: CHRIST DIED FOR US. Let us then worship the LORD in Spirit and in Truth; Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Love you always.
