The Lord Commands a level of trust that puts Him above all else. The Believer must come to Him as: (1) A Son who loves and trusts his father to provide for his every need; knowing that his inheritance is sure and displaying complete loyalty. (2) A Wife who absolutely loves, honor, adores and trust her husband; depending on him to provide for her and take care of her un-conditionally, never wanting any more or any less than he provides. (3) A Student who knows that his or her Teacher is the best teacher ever, trusting no one else to tutor him or her. We must so love God; the Father, Husband and Teacher as to never consider anyone else. There must be complete dependence, loyalty and faithfulness. This level of trust requires Blind Faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God: for he that cometh to Him must believe that He is, and that He is a Re-warder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6). The believer must attain a level of Spiritual Maturity to be a son, wife and student, skillful in the Word of Righteousness. For if when we ought to be teachers, we have need that one teach us again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of Strong Meat, then we are still babies. For every one that uses milk is un-skilful in the word of righteousness; for he is a baby. But Strong Meat belong to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use, have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil (Hebrews 5:11-14).
The Believer must strive to attain a level of maturity that qualifies him or her for service, fit for the master’s use, a producer bearing good fruit. We must therefore study to show ourselves approved; spending time in the word with God alone as our teacher; trusting Him to guide us every step of the way. He is the only one who knows the plan He has for us and must prepare us accordingly. This is difficult for many of us, because there is a natural tendency to do what others are doing. We have names, titles and positions that we want to be associated with. These generally determine the length, breadth and depth of our study. We often settle for the regular Bible Study and some traditional morning and evening devotions, topping it off with some course of certification. We soon develop a dependence on our human leaders and teachers for Things Spiritual. We forget the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (John 14: 26) thereby denying the Anointing (1 John 2: 27). The fact is; we are merely feeding on the milk of the word, when God wants to feed us STRONG MEAT. At first we were as newborn babies, desiring the sincere milk of the word that we may grow thereby; tasting that the Lord is gracious. However, leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ let us go on unto perfection (Hebrews 6: 1). For we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that we should show forth the praises of him who called us out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Now: just as Christ is that Living Stone, the chief Stone of the corner; we must also, as lively stones, be built up a Spiritual House, a Holy Priesthood, to offer up Spiritual Sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Therefore we must come boldly to the throne of grace as Sons, Wives and Students fit to be molded by God into Lively Stones; filled with Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding in Things Spiritual, as he takes us to higher levels in the Divine. Dear Beloved: present your bodies a living Sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto the Lord; which is your reasonable service. Let Him carry you in His arms, caress you and smother you with loving kisses; even as you sit at His feet listening to His every Word while He feeds you with Strong Meat tempered with loving kindness and tender mercies. He told you of His love and how He wants to endow you with power. Will you neglect and reject such divine endearment? Just imagine what it must have been like, when on the day of Pentecost; God the Holy Spirit taught those un-learned Disciples to speak the Word of Truth with boldness, speaking in languages that they knew not, to the amazement of all who knew them; that they were un-learned. That’s good food; really good food, Strong Meat indeed.
What kind of food are you having; Milk, or Strong Meat?
