Testimony of an ex-prisoner

Testimony of an ex-prisoner

Dave ( fictitious name ) a Buddhist had been leading a life of crime that included drug crimes among others. He had become a disgrace and a liability to his family and relatives. He had been to prison several times before; but this time he was sharing a cell with two others. One was a Moslem and the other was a Christian. He would often sit around and listen to them discuss their faith and what they really believed in.

One morning, both the Moslem and the Christian left to go to their work program. He was alone and depressed. He was aware of how bad it was and felt he was of no use to anyone, not even himself. He decided to hang himself and bring relief to everyone. He made the necessary preparation; put the hanging device in place and placed a sheet over the door so that no one would see him. But just as he was putting the noose around his neck the Christian came back, because his work for that day was cancelled. Seeing what he was about to do the Christian begged him not to and asked to pray with him. They prayed and he did not feel like hanging himself anymore.

He soon started reading the Bible having received the gift of eternal life. He is now out of prison and is leading a meaningful and productive life.  God saved him and he is now witnessing for the LORD.

God is a present help in times of trouble. He is indeed a deliverer. He is able to save you to the uttermost.

If you are not saved, will you ask Jesus to save you today?     Love You.

                                                 Be Blessed
