Hope in Times of Grief.
All of us at some point in our lives have suffered grief. Some more than others. As a matter of fact, for some of us, grief seems to be continuous. You may be experiencing grief right now.
So then: who or what is the object of your focus at this hour. What is it that has occupied your mind most? Is it the grief or the cause thereof? Like Jeremiah, are you looking at all that has happened or is still happening to you? Then like Jeremiah you need to shift your focus to God’s Love for you, the multitude of His mercies, His compassion and His great faithfulness. Know that He is your Portion. Encourage your soul.
If you are grieving, you are still alive and certainly not consumed. Then remember and be humbled: It is of the Lord's mercies that you are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is His faithfulness. The Lord is your portion. Therefore hope in him.
The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
For the Lord will not cast off for ever: Though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.
Lamentations 3.
Be blessed:
