HE LEADETH ME

How wonderful it would be if all of mankind could truly say this about God: “HE LEADETH ME”. Oh: if only all those who profess to be Christians; could declare from the heart: “HE LEADETH ME”, then there would be greater rejoicing and a richer rendering of the highest praise from the lips of those true worshippers. His faithful follower we all would be, since God through Jordan lead us all. Twice in one of David’s best known testimonies (Psalm 23); concerning the faithfulness of the God of all creation, he declares “HE LEADETH ME”. For David to make such a declaration; he had to know that he was been led by his Creator God; who was in full control, ordering his steps. He also had to have surrendered himself, willing to be led by He who had said: “I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go” (Isaiah 48: 17). He was therefore free to so testify. He was led “Beside The Still Water”, there he experienced the PEACE that passes all understanding and “the entering into the REST OF THE LORD”. David was a man of war; living among nations of war and leading a people of war as their anointed King. He had survived many attacks even one from his own son Absalom. His soul was restored; he was born again. Then he was led further, much further, higher, deeper: “In The Paths of Righteousness”; for God’s own name sake. David now clothed in the righteousness of God alone was able to boast in the Lord and further declare and confess: “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever”. David was not only aware of his present state of being but he now had a clear view of his future. He had much to rejoice for and he did rejoice. He who was King over Israel was not only leader of the Jews but was a great leader in the eyes of the Gentiles as they feared him greatly. This great leader had come to a point where he knew that he was been led by Jehovah, who is his strength and Salvation. In his rejoicing he declared with great confidence: “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears”. He was the benefactor of divine leadership and he wanted the world to know; so he testified to all in writing.

You my Beloved; have a great deal to rejoice for, even as David and much more. David had to know God’s laws and Commandments to obey them and remain in God’s favor. He had to rely on his good works. For us the work is already done. We have a Savior who is Christ the Lord, who died for us, paid for all our sins and we now live by His faith. God’s Laws and Commandments are placed in our hearts and written on our minds, with God the Holy Spirit dwelling in us, to guide us into truth, teach us all that we need to know and to bring those truths to remembrance. All the work has been done and the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed us and lead us unto living fountains of waters and God shall wipe away all tears from our eyes. How wonderful it is to know; that you are been led by the Spirit of God; that you don’t have to lean on your own understanding, which has never been good. To be led by the Spirit of God is in itself confirmation that God is not ashamed to call you His own and that he has reserved an inheritance for you in His Kingdom. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For we have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but we have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together” (Romans 8: 14 – 17). All Redeemed are sons of God, princes of Christ’s Imperial Blood; clothed in the spotless robe of the righteousness of the King of Glory. We have angels to serve us and Saints for our neighbors. Christ our Savior is our Brother. The God of all creation is our Father. A crown of immortality is our unmerited reward. We are citizens of the New Jerusalem; having been born into the General Assembly and Church of the First-Born whose names are written in heaven. As citizens of Jehovah’s Kingdom; love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. For if any one love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eye and the pride of life, are not of the Father, but are of the world. This I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lust against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary to one another. To walk in the Spirit you must be led by the Spirit because the flesh knows not the mind of the Spirit. “HE LEADETH ME” should always be a true and faithful testimony of every member of the General Assembly and Church of the First Born: Jesus Christ.

Beloved: are you ready, willing and able to let go of all those earthly things that you have long held to be very important to you in your personal life, that you may even have considered impossible to live without, for the joy that is set before you? Are you willing to endure the cross, despising the shame; that the Son of God may set you on His right hand? Shall the King say unto you; come: you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world? Are you ready and willing to let God the Holy Spirit, lead you always; that like David you may proclaim with absolute truth and certainty: “HE LEADETH ME”?  May you surrender all today and may the God of our Salvation consecrate you a fresh to His Service by the power of His grace divine and may your soul look up with that steadfast hope and your will be lost in His.

Friend if you are not sure who is leading who, or you know that you are not been led by the Spirit of The Most High God; I encourage you to seek an encounter with the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. His name is Jesus. Get to know him. If you believe that you already know him, then get to know him better. There is a place you need to get to and you will not get there unless He leads you; then you too can declare with absolute certainty: “HE LEADETH ME”. I love you always with the love of the Lord. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
